Washable capper

The challenge

An important Italian company operating in the food industry required a capping solution capable of meeting high hygiene and washability standards, essential in food production environments.

The main request was for a machine designed to support regular and effective cleaning procedures, while ensuring reliability during production and a compact layout suitable for integration into an existing line.

The solution

Torq Packaging developed a washable capper specifically designed for food applications, following a design approach focused on hygiene, cleanability and operational safety.

The machine structure is mainly made of AISI 304 stainless steel, with smooth surfaces and dedicated protections for mechanical and pneumatic components. Particular attention was paid to the clear separation between washable areas and protected zones, allowing effective cleaning without compromising sensitive machine parts.

Surface finishes, material selection and construction details were carefully designed to minimise residue accumulation and facilitate sanitation operations, in line with food-industry best practices.

To meet space constraints, the capper was equipped with an integrated multipush system, allowing a compact machine layout while maintaining full accessibility for cleaning and maintenance activities.

The machines shown in the video are filmed during real production conditions, providing a direct view of the capper operating in the customer’s manufacturing environment.

The solution includes two dedicated cappers, each configured for a specific format, allowing the customer to manage different products with dedicated machines optimised for their respective applications.

The result

The result is a compact, hygienic and reliable washable capper, suitable for food production environments where cleanliness, process control and operational efficiency are key requirements.

Thanks to its washable design and integrated multipush accessory, the machine fits seamlessly into the customer’s production line, ensuring consistent performance while supporting controlled and repeatable cleaning procedures.
