Case History: Dual Cap Capping Machine for Alcohol Beverage Production

Challenge: Our customer, a leading producer of alcoholic beverages, had a non-negotiable requirement: one capping machine capable of working with two different types of caps. The project called for a solution that could seamlessly apply both T-shaped caps and Guala caps at a high speed of 6,000 bottles per hour, ensuring efficiency and precision in their bottling process.

Solution: We developed a custom solution tailored to our client’s needs by designing and manufacturing a machine from our TR Double Sorter series. This proven machine was engineered with dual cap feeders positioned on top of the turret, allowing the system to work with both cap types. By integrating this dual functionality, we minimized the need for extensive cap change parts, ensuring quicker and more efficient changeovers. The streamlined design also significantly reduced downtime, enabling our customer to maintain their production goals without compromising on quality or speed.

Results: The machine’s ability to handle both T-shaped and Guala caps with minimal changeover time resulted in a seamless operation that maintained the 6,000 bottles per hour production rate.
